USIM card is the abbreviation of the Universal Subscriber Identity Module.The global user identity module (USIM), also called an upgrade SIM, is a component of the UMTS (Universal Mobile Telecommunication System) 3G network.In addition to being able to support multiple applications, the USIM card also includes security updates to the algorithm and adds the ability to authenticate the card to the network, a two-way authentication that effectively prevents hackers from attacking the card.This technology can be used as another high-speed data service carrier of GSM network, and it will be a good technical support for the transition from the second generation to the third generation of mobile communication SIM card. Besides supporting some existing fixed and mobile services, UMTS also provides brand-new interactive multimedia services.UMTS USES the ITU assigned band for terrestrial and satellite radio communications.It is compatible with GSM and IP through mobile or fixed, public or private network access.
SIM size is divided into three types:
Standard card: size: 25mm 15mm 0.8mm;
Micro Sim: commonly known as small card, the size is 12x15mm 0.8mm;
The Nano SIM: 12.3 mm x 8.8 mm x 0.7 mm.
